In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government, on the recommendations of the National Committee hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) number S.O.676(E) dated 11th August, 1998 [published at (1998) 148 CTR (St) 125] namely :
In the said notification, in the Table against serial number 4 relating to The Women's Education Development Association, Keishamthong Bazar, Imphal-795001, in column (4), for the letters, figures and word "Rs. 1.24 lakhs", the letters, figures and word "Rs. 16.04 lakhs" shall be substituted.
